​​​STATEWIDE SPECIAL ELECTION UPDATE
County Voter Information Guide
Mailed to Sacramento County Registered Voters


​The Voter Registration and Elections (VRE) Office has begun mailing the County Voter Information Guide (CVIG) for the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election to Sacramento County registered voters.

Registered voters can expect the CVIGs to begin arriving in their mailboxes this week. It will include Ballot Drop Box and Vote Center locations, measure(s) on the  ballot, and important dates and information. VRE is currently running a “Go Green" Campaign. If you would like to participate and “opt out" of receiving your CVIG by mail, please complete the form on our website at: https://myvoterportal.saccounty.gov/VoterAction.

Voters that have “opted out" of receiving a paper version of the CVIG may view it in My Voter Portal (MVP) at: https://myvoterportal.saccounty.gov/CountyVoterInfoGuide beginning October 6, 2025.

Monday, October 6Voted ballots may be returned in any of the Ballot Drop Boxes located throughout the County
Monday, Octobe​​r 20Close of voter registration for this election. Voter registration forms must be postmarked by this date or delivered to the VRE Office at 7000 65th Street, Suite A, Sacramento 95823 by 5:00 p.m. Online voter registration must be completed before midnight on this date at www.registertovote.ca.gov
Tuesday, October 21Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) begins
Saturday, October 2511 Day Vote Centers open
Tuesday, October 28Last day a Vote by Mail (VBM) ballot can be mailed to you. After this date, VBM ballots are only available at the VRE Office or a Vote Center
Saturday, November 1All Vote Centers open throughout the County
Tuesday, November 4Election Day
