STATEWIDE DIRECT PRIMARY ELECTION
Department of Voter Registration and Elections Hosts Bilingual Voter Education
Workshops in March
During the month of March, the Department of Voter Registration and Elections will host a series of bilingual voter education workshops, providing an opportunity for members of the community to receive information about the voting resources and language assistance available in each of Sacramento County’s federal and state required languages. These languages include Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Hmong, Korean, and Punjabi.
With the passage of the California Voter’s Choice Act, all registered voters will receive a ballot in the mail and Vote Centers will be offered in place of traditional polling places. To ensure Sacramento County residents are aware of the voting changes, the workshops will provide an opportunity for voters needing language assistance to learn about new voting options and the new voting system technology that will be implemented with the June 2018 Primary Election.
