CALIFORNIA GUBERNATORIAL RECALL ELECTION UPDATE
Registration Deadline Approaching and
Conditional Voter Registration to Begin
Monday, August 30, 2021, is the last day to register to vote or update your registration if you want to receive your ballot in the mail for the September 14, 2021 California Gubernatorial Recall Election. Residents are encouraged to register at www.registertovote.ca.gov or pick-up a voter registration form at any post office or the Elections Office at 7000 65th Street, Suite A, Sacramento 95823. To be registered, the voter registration form must be filled out completely, signed and postmarked by August 30, or hand-delivered to the Elections Office by 5:00 p.m. on August 30.
Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) begins Tuesday, August 31, at the Elections Office and is available at all Vote Centers when they open (see Key Election Dates below). Conditional Voter Registration information is available on our website. Residents who are unsure of their voter registration status may use the voter registration lookup on the website to determine their status.
Voters are encouraged to vote their ballot, sign their pink Vote by Mail envelope and return their ballots early. Information on the days and hours of operation for Ballot Drop Boxes and Vote Center locations is available on the VRE website at www.elections.saccounty.gov, or use the direct links below.
