Registration Deadline Approaching and
Conditional Voter Registration to Begin

Tuesday, February 20, is the last day to register to vote, update voter's residential address or change party affiliation for the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election. Residents are encouraged to register at
www.registertovote.ca.gov or pick-up a voter registration card at any Sacramento Public Library, post office or the Voter Registration and Elections (VRE) Office at 7000 65th Street, Suite A, Sacramento, CA 95823. In order to be a registered voter, the voter registration form must be filled out completely, signed and postmarked by February 20, or hand-delivered to the VRE Office by 5:00 p.m. on February 20.

Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) begins Wednesday, February 21. Eligible residents who missed the February 20, registration deadline may complete a voter registration form available at the VRE Office or at any Vote Center. Upon completion of the form, a VRE representative will provide the individual with a CVR provisional ballot which must be voted at the time and location it is received. Once the registration form has been processed and eligibility is verified the CVR ballot is counted. Residents may check their registration status on My Voter Portal.
